Giclée Printing Process

Capture: Bring in your original art or photos. We will scan or photograph the work to create a digital file for printing. You can also provide the digital file and skip this step!

Setup for Print: The digital file will be color matched and corrected if needed. We will match it to your original art/photo work as close as possible to the printed image.

Printing: Your giclées will be printed to the size you requested using Epson pigment inks and fine art papers that best match your art/photo.

Coating Giclée Canvas: Your canvas giclées will be roll-coated using special canvas coatings that resist environmental deterioration and cracking

Mounting & Framing: Your giclées can be mounted on foam board or gatorboard; stretched on pine stretcher bars for gallery wraps in preparation for framing.

Photo Printing and Framing

All MAVZPIX images are produced on professional inkjet printers using pigment inks and archival quality photographic papers. Clients may select among several fine art papers: matte, glossy, baryta, velvet texture, metallic, or canvas. A UV protective coating is applied to all prints making them water and scratch resistant and enhancing UV resistance.

You may complete your project – Ready To Display – in one stop. MAVZPIX has a wide range of ready-made frames available for photo prints and flat mounted canvas. For clients selecting canvas prints, we offer flat mounting on foam board or gator board that can be framed in your choice of frame.

Canvas prints can also be finished with popular gallery wrapping using 1-1/4”; 1-1/2”; or 1-3/4” stretcher bars.
